A feedback loop built for the real world

Teloq’s proposed framework starts with the conditions that make intersections difficult, then keeps the response bounded, observable, and useful to the people responsible for the road.

How the loop works

1.Observe

Read current conditions at the intersection: vehicle and pedestrian flow, the active phase, time, and congestion signals.

2.Adapt

Adjust phase durations in small, measured steps, within the safety and operating rules already in place.

3.Explain

Record the state, the action taken, and the confidence behind each decision so people can review it.

4.Improve

Use each outcome as feedback for the next decision, without assuming every moment will look the same.

Modular enough to meet infrastructure where it is

Rather than replacing everything, the framework is designed as an add-on to existing intersection systems. If detection quality drops, a safe fallback path matters as much as the optimization itself.
